The short version: the only personal data this website collects is an email address, and only if you type it into one of our two forms. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel and no advertising cookie on this site. If you want your email address gone, ask and it is gone.
The data controller is Arris Group Limited (Company No. 17169888), registered in England and Wales at 3 Weekley Wood Close, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN14 1UQ, trading as Resection. For anything in this notice, email hello@resection.co.uk.
Your email address, and nothing else. We collect it only when you enter it yourself, in one of two places:
We do not buy, scrape or otherwise acquire email addresses, and we do not ask for your name, company, phone number or anything else.
Two processors, both acting on our instructions: Resend, which delivers our email and holds the journal mailing list, and Vercel, which hosts this website. We do not share your email address with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Email delivery is handled by Resend Inc., a US-based subprocessor. Subscriber email addresses and delivery metadata are stored on US infrastructure. We would rather tell you that plainly than imply a residency we do not have: choosing a European sending region affects where mail is dispatched from, not where the list is stored.
Journal subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you. Pilot requests: until the request is resolved and any resulting conversation has run its course. There is no other retention.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw your consent at any time, and object to what we are doing with it. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
To exercise any of these, email hello@resection.co.uk. We will action it without fuss and without asking why. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This site sets no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.
This notice covers the website. Documents and project data you put into the Resection application are governed by the security terms and the data-flow map your IT team receives before you commit. See the security section.
